This website is dedicated to finding the genetic causes of familial exudative vitreoretinopathy (FEVR), along with better treatments and a cure. We are a group known as the American FEVR Research Consortium, organized by Kang Zhang , M.D., Ph.D. The purpose of this site is to investigate the genetic basis and clinical features of FEVR and to be a resource for patients and families who want to learn more about FEVR.
If you or someone you know has FEVR, you can help us to find better treatments and a cure. The purpose of this study is to find the genes causing FEVR allowing us to develop diagnostic criteria and treatment trials.
